The Skalistyi Bereg Gravity Winery Qualifies for the World Architecture Festival Award in the Industrial Architecture Category
The Skalistyi Bereg Gravity Winery was built in the village of Varvarovka near Anapa by the project of architect Aleksandr Balabin, the head of the Severin Project company.
The contours of the building resemble marine rubble. There are production facilities, storage cellars, a shop, a tasting room, a restaurant, and a terrace overlooking the sea on different levels there. The winery is surrounded by 32 hectares of its own vineyards. Its estimated capacity is about 300 thousand bottles a year.
The World Architecture Festival is one of the world’s most prestigious architectural events. During the festival, 550 finalists from different countries defend their projects in person.
This year, the defense of projects will take place in Lisbon in early December. The jury will consist of 145 leading world experts.
